In Memory
of Hope

March 1993
-February 22, 2005
Anyone who has adopted from a shelter or dedicated their life to rescue
remembers the day they met that special animal.  This is the animal that
touches a special place in your heart and reaches you to the depths of your
soul.  For our volunteer and shelter friend, Judi, that animal was a beautiful
Doberman/Boxer cross named Hope.

Like so many animals, Hope was an abandoned pup in need of what we take
for granted: food, shelter and someone to love and care for us.  Judi adopted
Hope and in Judi’s care Hope flourished and grew into a healthy, happy dog.
Hope shared her life with Judi for eleven wonderful years.  When she
succumbed to congestive heart failure on February 22, 2005 her friend Judi was
by her side.

Dogs like Hope are the driving force and inspiration behind the people who
work so hard to help homeless animals, and those who adopt them.  Helping a
dog overcome a rough beginning, restoring her health and seeing her leave the
shelter to join her new family is an indescribable, gratifying feeling.
Remembering that success makes it that much easier to help the next lost soul.

To Hope and Judi, with appreciation and love.
