In Memory of
Jesse of Secret Lake
March 9, 1991 to May 16, 2001
Jesse inspired me to become a trainer. At
6 months old, he was challenging me at
every instant. I had no idea what was
going on with my formerly sweet ball of
Golden fluff. As I learned more about
dogs and how to raise them and be the
owner a dog wants and needs, our
relationship improved. He taught me so
much in our 10 years together.
Jesse tried everything I asked him to try.
He never made it as a search and rescue
dog, but he gave it a good try for me.
Jesse earned his Canine Good Citizen and
that he was - a great dog loved by all who
met him. Children always came to visit
him
At the age of 10, he was diagnosed with bone and lung cancer.
Just before he died, I spoke to him of some of his favorite
places - beach, park, swim, Maine . . . His sweet brown eyes
looked into my eyes as I spoke each word. I wanted him to
leave this world with wonderful thoughts. As I lay on the floor
with him, he looked into my eyes until he peacefully left this
world. Karen
