| Relax your Grip on the Leash and Enjoy Your Walk Workshop Workshop is one session – one hour long Workshop is limited to 4 dogs. Fee: $40 Loose leash walking is one of the most challenging behaviors to teach both dogs and their owners. Most owners are experts at teaching the dog to pull without even realizing it. These same owners can learn how to teach their dog not to pull. Many owners are seeking the magic tool that will make the dog walk next to them. Many tools exist to manage the behavior. Head halters, no pull harnesses, training collars, and prong collars are the ones most often used. Such equipment is a management tool and does not train the dog not to pull. Most dogs will immediately returning to pulling if the head halter, training collar, etc is removed. That in itself shows that the dog has not learned to walk nicely on leash. Using management tools is fine. However if you want to teach your dog not to pull, you can do it! Learn how to stop reinforcing pulling and to start reinforcing loose leash walking. This one session workshop is designed to get you started! |
