Reactive Dog Class
Class is limited to 4 dogs.
Course Fee is $175

Reactive dogs exhibit behaviors such as excessive barking, lunging, jumping,
and howling, snapping and even biting in response to other dogs or people
nearby.   Reactive dogs can be dog aggressive and dangerous.

People who live with reactive dogs can benefit from a class tailored to meet
their needs.  That is why we have added this class to the course offerings.  

In this course, we will:
  • Show you techniques for managing and redirecting your dog while you
    are also teaching your dog basic obedience
  • Show you how to encourage and reinforce acceptable behavior with
    reward-based techniques

Required equipment for this class:  
  • Head Halter
  • Basket Style Muzzle
  • 6 foot leash

Instructions for acclimating your dog to the equipment will be provided before
class.  You are required to prepare your dog to come to class wearing a Head
halter with a muzzle over it.

Recommended reading for this class is Feisty Fido:  Help for Leash Aggressive
Dog by Patricia McConnell & Karen London which can be order ed from a
bookseller.

NOTE: This class will NOT turn your reactive dog into a social butterfly
ready to play at the dog park.  The class will teach you techniques to
manage your dog.  Not all dogs are sociable just as not all people friendly
and outgoing.
