EDUCATION
1994 - CT K-9 Professional Trainer School Newington, CT
- Course included 350 hours of classroom and hands-on training with my own dog, dogs
owned by the public, and Hartford pound dogs. Graduated top of class and was later
hired by the former director Donna Crowley when she started her business.
Seminars
2006 - Consultations, Up Close and Personal Seminar with Pia Silvani, CPDT, CABC.
Seminar consisted of live consultations and debriefing sessions to learn about canine behavior
problems and how to conduct consultations.

- 1996 to 2003 – Participated in team trainings and certification testing. Trained with
other search teams in New England.

Searches
From 1994 - 2003, I participated in numerous searches for lost, missing, and deceased persons
in Connecticut as both a dog handler and a field assistant.
Dogs
- Sienna – 1997 – September 2008. Golden Retriever. Canine Good Citizen. Level I Search
and Rescue Dog. Sienna died unexpectedly in her sleep,
- Mattie – 2003 - present. Mixed breed from shelter. Inherited from my dear friend Jane
who died. Mattie is my demo dog.
- Lucy Liu – May 2004 - present. Basset/Beagle mix. Adopted from Meriden Humane
Society. Had been returned twice because she could not be housebroken and was fearful.
- Joey - July 2006 - present. Beagle (Blue-ticked) Adopted from East Haven Animal
Shelter. Found during torrential rain hiding under a shed. His collar was embedded in his
neck and shoulder.
- Barney - 2003 - July 3, 2007 Inherited from my dear friend Jane who died. Barney was
about 15 years old when I had to say goodbye.
- Jesse – 1990 – 2000. Golden Retriever. Canine Good Citizen. Died of bone cancer. The
dog who inspired me to become a trainer.
- Tai – Golden Retriever. He was a 12 year old dog taken from his owner in a neglect
case. Tai died of old age at 17 years old.
- Roscoe – 2001 - 2003. He was 10 year old abused Basset Hound with aggression
problems. He died at the age of 12 from heart failure.
