About Me - Karen J. Moulton, Owner and Coach

I have worked with over 900 dogs and their families. I am vet, client, and other trainer recommended.  I'm a rewards-based methods trainer who uses kind and effective methods.  I look forward to working with you!

Volunteer Work

Volunteer Work -Shelters
  • Designed and instituted the “Shelter Dogs – Training for a New Life” program to teach volunteers how to teach the dogs basic manners at two CT shelters.
  • Fostered adult dogs from local shelters.
  • Helped assess dogs as to adoptability at two local shelters. 
  • Prepared adoption packages.
  • Worked with a team of volunteers and the animal control officers to increase adoption rates and provide a positive environment for the animals while they were in the shelter.
Volunteer Work - Search and Rescue
  • Dog Handler, Field Assistant, Secretary, Events Coordinator, Presenter, and Co-Founder of Disaster and Wilderness Ground Searchers
  • Trained and certified my dog Sienna to Level I wilderness search and rescue.  Also trained her in cadaver and article searching.
  • Participated in numerous searches for lost persons.


  • Volunteer Work - Lost Pets
  • Provide services to owners of lost pets in the Farmington Valley area to facilitate recovery via guidance in use of best practices.
  • Offer seminars in lost dog prevention.
  • Website www.lostpetsfv.com contains information about preventing your dog from going missing and recovery techniques for cats and dogs.
  • Multiple successful recoveries of missing dogs and cats.
  • Created the first Facebook group in CT devoted to lost and found cats and manage a group of over 8k members.
