Puppy Package
Manners Training
Loose Leash Walking Program
​Behavior Consultation

​Sessions by appointment only.

Please understand that trainers are in high demand and my availability is limited.

When you book appointments, you are expected to be available, do your homework, and pay on time. You will be sent an agreement which you must agree to before we meet.

The 4 session packages are designed to get you started. Depending on many factors, additional sessions may be desired or recommended.

Puppy Package
For puppies between 8 weeks and 4 months old

4 in-home 1-hour sessions
Must be used within 8 weeks. Sessions are held in your home or out in the community depending on needs, skill level and my recommendation.

Note: 4 sessions will give you a good start. Additional sessions are recommended.

Fee: $600
50% payment due at first session, remaining 50% at second session. No refunds.

Payment methods accepted: Check, cash, or Venmo.

Cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to your session or you forfeit that session and will be charged the full fee.

Manners Training
For dogs over 4 months old

4 in-home 1-hour sessions
Must be used within 8 weeks. Sessions are held in your home or out in the community depending on your needs, skill level, and my recommendation.

​4 sessions will give you a good start. Additional sessions may be recommended.

Fee: $600

Also Available: One single session $150. Single sessions are only offered on a limited basis if I believe only one session is needed.

Behavior Consults which includes Leash Reactive Dogs
For dogs of all ages on a case-by-case basis

Step 1: Contact Me to Give Me Information about the Issues
Note:  I don't generally work with dogs with a history of serious bites to humans or other animals.  Before I agree to work with you, I need to know what you need help with.

Step 2.  Fill out a Consultation Form
If I decide to take your case, I will email you a Behavior Consultation form. Your completed form must be received 48 hours before we meet.
You must also sign my Behavior Consultation Agreement before our first session. In addition, please provide proof of your dog's current Rabies vaccination.

Fees:
In-Person Consultation (1.5 hrs): $175
Additional Sessions (1 hr each): $150

​If you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment, you will forfeit that session and will be charged for the full fee.

​My Puppy Package is designed to help teach your puppy basics such as:

• attention

• stay
• leave it
• walking on leash

Emphasis is on proper socialization and common issues such as mouthing, chewing, jumping, barking, as well as crating, potty training, appropriate play and exercise, and problem prevention.

My Manners Training Package is designed to help you teach your dog basics such as:

• attention
• sit
• down
• come

• crate training
• stay
• leave it
• walking on leash

Private manners training sessions are available to work on basic manners, NOT behavior problems such as growling, fear, aggression, snapping, biting, or food/toy/bone guarding.

Loose Leash Walking Intro Package - More Info
My Loose Leash Walking Package is designed to help you and your dog to learn how to walk together and enjoy your walk.  This package is not for leash reactive dogs who lunge and growl at passersby.  Please book a Behavior Consultation if your dog is leash reactive.

Behavior Consults - More Info
I offer behavior consultations for problems such as:

• aggressive behavior
• resource guarding (food bowl, toys, etc.)

• fear-based behaviors
• leash-reactive dogs

I don't generally work with dogs with a serious bite history on humans or who have seriously injured another animal.

​Based ​upon my consultation with you and your family members, along with an analysis of a history of the problem, I will observe and when appropriate, handle your dog. I will give you a preliminary assessment of your dog’s behaviors and help you:

• assess risk
• explore your options
• set realistic goals

• install immediate management measures
• make a plan of action

The plan of action varies for each situation. A plan of action includes your commitment to:

• continued management measures
• making reasonable lifestyle changes
• learning and practicing basic obedience exercises regularly with your dog

• learning how to communicate effectively with your dog
• instituting measures to modify both your dog's behavior and yours

Behavior modification involves applying principles of learning to change a behavior. The basic idea is to change a behavior from one that is undesirable to one that is desired or more acceptable. Behavior modification not only involves your dog, but also consists of teaching you and your family how to interact with your dog to minimize/manage problems and help you manage and/or prevent problems. Behavior modification requires your time and commitment; quick fixes don't exist.

I do NOT guarantee that your dog's behavior will be resolved after a behavior consultation. Your dog’s response depends upon many components such as: hereditary factors, puppy-hood experiences, current circumstances, and the amount of time you dedicate to changing your dog’s behavior. Such a mix of factors makes it impossible to accurately predict how any one dog will respond to training and behavior modification.

PLEASE NOTE: The first visit will not immediately "solve" or "fix" the dog's behavior problem. There are no quick fixes. A consultation will help assess the severity of the problem you're living with, the possible risks and ramifications for your family, and potential for improvement. At the consultation, we will discuss setting up additional appointments. The number of appointments recommended will depend on many factors.  Again one session will not be enough to change the behavior.
